As a scholar in Game Prototyping, I found Paper to Play in 20 Minutes to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to Game Concepts is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of Game Jams, which offers a compelling framework for understanding Game Concepts. While some may argue that Rapid Game Development, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about Game Prototyping.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Paper to Play in 20 Minutes, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains Game Jams made everything click for me. I've been struggling with Creative Thinking for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about Game Jams - it reminded me so much of my own experience with Iterative Design. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While Paper to Play in 20 Minutes makes several valuable points about Game Concepts, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of Game Jams seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to Rapid Game Development. That said, the sections on Iterative Design are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in Game Design, this could be a truly outstanding work.
