I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Debugging The Uncanny Valley, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains Synthetic Faces made everything click for me. I've been struggling with Human-Computer Interaction for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about Avatar Design - it reminded me so much of my own experience with Uncanny Valley. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

Debugging The Uncanny Valley is a comprehensive exploration of Uncanny Valley that manages to be both accessible to newcomers and valuable to experts. The book is divided into 6 sections, each building thoughtfully on the last. Part 3's discussion of Human Perception is particularly strong, with clear examples and practical applications. The diagrams and illustrations throughout help clarify complex ideas, and the chapter summaries are excellent for review. My only minor critique is that the pacing could be better, but this doesn't detract from the overall quality. This will undoubtedly become a standard reference in the field.

Has anyone else noticed how Debugging The Uncanny Valley relates to Synthetic Faces? I was reading about Robotics Psychology and it made me think of chapter 2.
