The author's treatment of compute seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to programming. I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Vulkan API - Owners' Workshop Manual - Computer Programming (Beginners Onwards): Everything You Need To Get Started With The Vulkan API, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains programming made everything click for me. I've been struggling with vulkan for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about vulkan - it reminded me so much of my own experience with compute. I've already recommended it to all my friends!
