As a scholar in latex, I found LaTeX Explained to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to latex is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of editing, which offers a compelling framework for understanding editing. While some may argue that editing, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about latex.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with LaTeX Explained, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains editing made everything click for me. I've been struggling with latex for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about scripting - it reminded me so much of my own experience with latex. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While LaTeX Explained makes several valuable points about latex, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of editing seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to latex. That said, the sections on editing are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in editing, this could be a truly outstanding work.
