While Visualizations with Three.js makes several valuable points about JavaScript, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of Web Development seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to Data Visualization. That said, the sections on 3D Graphics are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in Data Visualization, this could be a truly outstanding work.

Visualizations with Three.js is a comprehensive exploration of Three.js that manages to be both accessible to newcomers and valuable to experts. The book is divided into 4 sections, each building thoughtfully on the last. Part 3's discussion of JavaScript is particularly strong, with clear examples and practical applications. The diagrams and illustrations throughout help clarify complex ideas, and the chapter summaries are excellent for review. My only minor critique is that the pacing could be better, but this doesn't detract from the overall quality. This will undoubtedly become a standard reference in the field.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Visualizations with Three.js, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains WebGL made everything click for me. I've been struggling with WebGL for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about JavaScript - it reminded me so much of my own experience with WebGL. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

As a scholar in Three.js, I found Visualizations with Three.js to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to JavaScript is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of WebGL, which offers a compelling framework for understanding Three.js. While some may argue that WebGL, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about Three.js.
