As a scholar in DirectX, I found DirectX+HLSL/Graphics/Compute All-in-One to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to Shader Development is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of DirectX 12, which offers a compelling framework for understanding DirectX 12. While some may argue that Game Development, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about DirectX.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with DirectX+HLSL/Graphics/Compute All-in-One, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains DirectX 12 made everything click for me. I've been struggling with Rendering for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about DirectX 12 - it reminded me so much of my own experience with Compute Shaders. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While DirectX+HLSL/Graphics/Compute All-in-One makes several valuable points about Shader Development, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of Graphics Pipeline seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to Compute Shaders. That said, the sections on Graphics Pipeline are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in Rendering, this could be a truly outstanding work.
