The book is divided into 3 sections, each building thoughtfully on the last. Part 2's discussion of javascript is particularly strong, with clear examples and practical applications. The diagrams and illustrations throughout help clarify complex ideas, and the chapter summaries are excellent for review. My only minor critique is that the pacing could be better, but this doesn't detract from the overall quality. This will undoubtedly become a standard reference in the field.

The author's treatment of programming seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to javascript. I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with 101 Fractal Projects: A Hands-On Journey Through 101 Fractal Programming Project Examples, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains programming made everything click for me. I've been struggling with javascript for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about javascript - it reminded me so much of my own experience with javascript. I've already recommended it to all my friends!
