While Little Black Book of Ray-Tracing and Path-Tracing makes several valuable points about compute, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of graphics seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to ray-tracing. That said, the sections on ray-tracing are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in compute, this could be a truly outstanding work.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Little Black Book of Ray-Tracing and Path-Tracing, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains graphics made everything click for me. I've been struggling with graphics for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about graphics - it reminded me so much of my own experience with compute. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

As a scholar in graphics, I found Little Black Book of Ray-Tracing and Path-Tracing to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to compute is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of graphics, which offers a compelling framework for understanding compute. While some may argue that compute, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about graphics.
