I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Game Design and Development: Code, Psychology and Analytics (Paperback), but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains analytics made everything click for me. I've been struggling with analytics for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about psychology - it reminded me so much of my own experience with games. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While Game Design and Development: Code, Psychology and Analytics (Paperback) makes several valuable points about psychology, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of programming seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to game analytics. That said, the sections on programming are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in games, this could be a truly outstanding work.

As a scholar in games, I found Game Design and Development: Code, Psychology and Analytics (Paperback) to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to psychology is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of analytics, which offers a compelling framework for understanding analytics. While some may argue that programming, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about games.
