I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Retro Web-Based Game Programming: Second Edition, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains programming made everything click for me. I've been struggling with programming for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about programming - it reminded me so much of my own experience with programming. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While Retro Web-Based Game Programming: Second Edition makes several valuable points about javascript, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of programming seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to javascript. That said, the sections on programming are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in programming, this could be a truly outstanding work.
