While 101 Blender Scripting Projects (Paperback) makes several valuable points about Blender API, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of creative coding seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to 3D projects. That said, the sections on creative coding are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in creative coding, this could be a truly outstanding work.

101 Blender Scripting Projects (Paperback) is a comprehensive exploration of Blender scripting that manages to be both accessible to newcomers and valuable to experts. The book is divided into 4 sections, each building thoughtfully on the last. Part 2's discussion of Blender API is particularly strong, with clear examples and practical applications. The diagrams and illustrations throughout help clarify complex ideas, and the chapter summaries are excellent for review. My only minor critique is that the pacing could be better, but this doesn't detract from the overall quality. This will undoubtedly become a standard reference in the field.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with 101 Blender Scripting Projects (Paperback), but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains creative coding made everything click for me. I've been struggling with creative coding for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about Blender scripting - it reminded me so much of my own experience with Python. I've already recommended it to all my friends!
