I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with JavaScript is NOT a Toy, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains javascript made everything click for me. I've been struggling with simulation for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about simulation - it reminded me so much of my own experience with javascript. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While JavaScript is NOT a Toy makes several valuable points about javascript, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of simulation seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to javascript. That said, the sections on simulation are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in javascript, this could be a truly outstanding work.
