While Game Design and Development: Code, Psychology and Analytics (Paperback) makes several valuable points about programming, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of programming seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to programming. That said, the sections on analytics are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in programming, this could be a truly outstanding work.

As a scholar in games, I found Game Design and Development: Code, Psychology and Analytics (Paperback) to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to programming is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of games, which offers a compelling framework for understanding programming. While some may argue that psychology, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about games.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Game Design and Development: Code, Psychology and Analytics (Paperback), but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains games made everything click for me. I've been struggling with psychology for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about analytics - it reminded me so much of my own experience with programming. I've already recommended it to all my friends!
