I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with How To Write Retro Games: Web-Programming, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains javascript made everything click for me. I've been struggling with programming for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about programming - it reminded me so much of my own experience with graphics. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While How To Write Retro Games: Web-Programming makes several valuable points about graphics, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of graphics seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to ai. That said, the sections on javascript are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in graphics, this could be a truly outstanding work.
