I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with 101 Generative AI Projects: Diffusion Models, Transformers, ChatGPT, and Other LLMs (Paperback), but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains Diffusion models made everything click for me. I've been struggling with open-source models for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about AI projects - it reminded me so much of my own experience with transformers. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

101 Generative AI Projects: Diffusion Models, Transformers, ChatGPT, and Other LLMs (Paperback) is a comprehensive exploration of Generative AI that manages to be both accessible to newcomers and valuable to experts. The book is divided into 4 sections, each building thoughtfully on the last. Part 3's discussion of deep learning is particularly strong, with clear examples and practical applications. The diagrams and illustrations throughout help clarify complex ideas, and the chapter summaries are excellent for review. My only minor critique is that some examples felt dated, but this doesn't detract from the overall quality. This will undoubtedly become a standard reference in the field.

While 101 Generative AI Projects: Diffusion Models, Transformers, ChatGPT, and Other LLMs (Paperback) makes several valuable points about deep learning, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of Generative AI seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to ChatGPT. That said, the sections on ChatGPT are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in LLMs, this could be a truly outstanding work.
