As a scholar in games, I found Game Design and Development: Code, Psychology and Analytics (Paperback) to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to games is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of game analytics, which offers a compelling framework for understanding games. While some may argue that programming, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about games.

While Game Design and Development: Code, Psychology and Analytics (Paperback) makes several valuable points about games, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of game analytics seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to analytics. That said, the sections on game analytics are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in game analytics, this could be a truly outstanding work.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Game Design and Development: Code, Psychology and Analytics (Paperback), but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains game analytics made everything click for me. I've been struggling with psychology for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about game analytics - it reminded me so much of my own experience with analytics. I've already recommended it to all my friends!
