I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Ray-Tracing Pocket Book (Paperback), but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains 3D made everything click for me. I've been struggling with 3D for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about graphics - it reminded me so much of my own experience with ray tracing. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While Ray-Tracing Pocket Book (Paperback) makes several valuable points about graphics, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of 3D seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to rendering. That said, the sections on visual effects are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in rendering, this could be a truly outstanding work.
