While Debugging The Uncanny Valley makes several valuable points about Human Perception, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of Synthetic Faces seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to Uncanny Valley. That said, the sections on Avatar Design are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in Perceptual Psychology, this could be a truly outstanding work.
