I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Little Black Book of Ray-Tracing and Path-Tracing, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains ray-tracing made everything click for me. I've been struggling with compute for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about compute - it reminded me so much of my own experience with ray-tracing. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While Little Black Book of Ray-Tracing and Path-Tracing makes several valuable points about compute, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of ray-tracing seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to graphics. That said, the sections on graphics are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in graphics, this could be a truly outstanding work.

Can someone help me understand graphics from chapter 3? I'm struggling to see how it connects to ray-tracing.
