I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Special Effects Programming with WebGPU, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains simulation made everything click for me. I've been struggling with shader for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about programming - it reminded me so much of my own experience with ai. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While Special Effects Programming with WebGPU makes several valuable points about graphics, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of graphics seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to webgpu. That said, the sections on wgsl are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in graphics, this could be a truly outstanding work.
