Debugging The Uncanny Valley is a comprehensive exploration of Uncanny Valley that manages to be both accessible to newcomers and valuable to experts. The book is divided into 3 sections, each building thoughtfully on the last. Part 1's discussion of Human-Computer Interaction is particularly strong, with clear examples and practical applications. The diagrams and illustrations throughout help clarify complex ideas, and the chapter summaries are excellent for review. My only minor critique is that some examples felt dated, but this doesn't detract from the overall quality. This will undoubtedly become a standard reference in the field.

While Debugging The Uncanny Valley makes several valuable points about Human-Computer Interaction, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of Human-Computer Interaction seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to Uncanny Valley. That said, the sections on Perceptual Psychology are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in Robotics Psychology, this could be a truly outstanding work.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Debugging The Uncanny Valley, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains Perceptual Psychology made everything click for me. I've been struggling with Uncanny Valley for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about Creepy Realism - it reminded me so much of my own experience with Avatar Design. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

Can someone help me understand Human Perception from chapter 6? I'm struggling to see how it connects to AI and Emotion.
