I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with Vulkan Essentials, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains simulation made everything click for me. I've been struggling with vulkan for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about visualization - it reminded me so much of my own experience with compute. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

As a scholar in programming, I found Vulkan Essentials to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to graphics is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of simulation, which offers a compelling framework for understanding compute. While some may argue that simulation, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about programming.

While Vulkan Essentials makes several valuable points about graphics, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of graphics seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to visualization. That said, the sections on simulation are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in vulkan, this could be a truly outstanding work.
