As a scholar in DirectX, I found DirectX+HLSL/Graphics/Compute All-in-One to be an exceptional contribution to the field. The author's approach to DirectX 12 is both innovative and rigorous, providing fresh insights that challenge conventional wisdom. Particularly noteworthy is the discussion of Shader Development, which offers a compelling framework for understanding Optimization. While some may argue that Compute Shaders, the evidence presented is thorough and convincing. This book is essential reading for anyone serious about DirectX.

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with DirectX+HLSL/Graphics/Compute All-in-One, but wow! It completely blew me away. The way the author explains Shader Development made everything click for me. I've been struggling with DirectX for years, and this book gave me the tools I needed. My favorite part was when they talked about GPU Programming - it reminded me so much of my own experience with DirectX. I've already recommended it to all my friends!

While DirectX+HLSL/Graphics/Compute All-in-One makes several valuable points about DirectX 12, I found some aspects problematic. The author's treatment of Compute Shaders seems oversimplified, particularly when compared to Compute Shaders. That said, the sections on Graphics Pipeline are genuinely insightful and make the book worth reading despite its flaws. With some refinement in DirectX 12, this could be a truly outstanding work.
